H.R. Wilson Educational & Cultural Competitions

Wilsonia Group is the proud host of the H.R. Wilson Educational and Cultural Competitions. Conducted in the memory of the founders lt. Rev. Henry Raynor Wilson and Lt. Mrs. Virginia Wilson, the competitions are being held every year since 1986. The competitions have become a much awaited event in the annual fixtures of not only Wilsonia but the entire student community of Moradabad.

The competitions are held at Intra-school & Inter school levels. For classes Nursery to IX. These are Intra School competitions in which students of all branches of Wilsonia participate namely Boys' School, Girls' School, Scholars' Home, Extension Branch, West End Branch and Sahai Branch. From class X to XII, these are Inter School competitions in which the city's I.S.C. affiliated schools participate namely St. Paul's College, Tiny Tots College, Springfield College, Maharaja Agrasen School, G.K. Welhams School, Wilsonia Girls' School, Wilsonia Boys' School. St. Mary's Senior Secondary School is the only C.B.S.E. school which is being invitied for this event since the time of its inception.

As the name suggests, the H.R. Wilson Competitions comprise of competitions in the Educational and Cultural fields. In the Educational side, we've competitions in Recitation, Story Telling (for infants), Speech (for middle school), Essay Writing, Calligraphy, Drawing, Debate (for seniors), Collage Making (at Inter-school level). An Inter-school quiz too is conducted prior to or as part of the competitions. The Cultural competitions that are held are Group Song, Group Dance and Fancy Dress (for infants and junior school).

The competitions aim at bringing together the student community of the city. To have healthy interaction between both students and teachers of all school's of Moradabad. It brings the Group's teachers and students together as well to participate together, working and learning and competing on the same platform without bias. The transparency of the event is what has made it such an awaited competition because everyone knows that competition is intense and only the most deserving shall well and truly win.
